Obviously a big gap for him but he has been building up other aspects of his business - not new as Red Bull had a long pause a while back - e.g. just before the last race he had a charter to the outback in his King Air.

Congrats to Matty, he has worked long and hard for this success. He will be champion for life since there will be no more RBAR.

 

I have met him several times and he is a true gentleman, very friendly and approachable.

I can highly recommend going for a lap in his Extra 300, a truly unforgettable experience.

First time I met Matt, he asked me if I knew where he could borrow some tie downs, they had left them out of the plane.

 

Obviously They were pilot in command.

 

We did manage to accommodate him, but first impressions didn't impress. He has an impressive record and keeps enhancing it.
