440032 Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 How is it RAAus aircraft are being used for other than recreational training purposes? (training aspiring professional pilots from the get go)
Butch Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 Soar won't be missed. They swamped us in Bendigo. Their touch and go's, clogged up the circuit and students had poor English! 1
facthunter Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 Assuming of course that they manage to pass the CPL test.. Having met the requirements to sit it is a Pre cursor. No one can guarantee a candidate will pass (If it's all above board). Nev
shafs64 Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 This will a difficult start to some young peoples working life with no jobs and a big dept.
Downunder Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 I think they work out that you need to be earning a certain amount of income to start paying the loan back.
old man emu Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 How is it RAAus aircraft are being used for other than recreational training purposes? (training aspiring professional pilots from the get go) It would appear that they use RAAus for training up to RAAus Pilot Certificate with cross-country and pax endorsements, then move over to VH- aircraft for CSU, retractable and multi conversions. I wonder which type of aircraft they use for building hours for the CPL licence. Soar won't be missed. The students had poor English! But surely they had all the ELP they needed. An aviation ELP assessment involves a candidate being tested on their ability to communicate in English in the aviation environment, where safety is paramount. The assessment involves two-way communications between the assessor and the candidate, and covers: pronunciation grammatical structures and sentence patterns vocabulary fluency comprehension interactions while communicating.

pmccarthy Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 We get twins from Ballarat overhead here all the time, Asian accents. They must be doing multi endorsements and IFR.
djpacro Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 I see elsewhere on the internet that some ex-students have made statements explaining how they were allegedly ripped off.
Roundsounds Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 I see SOAR resumed operations on 8/11/29.
facthunter Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 I'm questioning the DATE in your post.. Nev
Roundsounds Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 I'm questioning the DATE in your post.. Nev It’s straight off the Australian site. I just printed it to a PDF hence the format.
octave Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 I see SOAR resumed operations on 8/11/29. I think this is what is being referred to.
