So, I would like to hard wire install a  ICOM A15 VHF handheld and a panel mount GME 3100 UHF radio into an open frame Gyro. I would like to monitor both radios and simultaneously and select which to transmit on. Would like to be able to hear the transmit and use a PTT on the stick. Is there anyone I could send the radios to and have a system put together or some diagram of how this works best so I can have a go myself. There doesn't seem to be a simple plug and play available.

Its easy to do with off the shelf parts as long as you don't care if its not TSOed.

Get  something like a https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MA400--behringer-micromon-ma400-monitor-headphone-amplifier

Then you can plug one radio output into the mic input (on the mixer) and the other radio output to the monitor input. Be careful with the output to the microphone input you may have to add something like a https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SAMD2PRO--samson-md2-pro-2-channel-passive-instrument-direct-box

to attenuate the outputs and turn your unbalanced output to balanced for the mixer.

Just put a selector switch inline with the press to talk button so you can select which radio is being selected to transmit.

There maybe something more elegant but I only spent a couple of minutes looking it up. I would just try the first mixer and see if it works ok before worrying about the passive box if it is overloading the input you will have to add the second unit.

Hope that makes sense.

Sorry this is a better solution.

get one of these https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MX400--behringer-micromix-mx400-line-mixer

You could connect up to 4 radio's ?

Just put a 2 way switch in line with the press to talk button so you can select which radio is triggered when you push the press to talk. You can send your mic input to both radios just tie them together (your headset mic output).

If you want to hear yourself you should be able to also put your mic output to one of the spare channels on the mx400 then you can mix in the amount of you into your headset. Your mic output may not be hot enough to drive the line mixer so then you would have to add the ma 400 from my first post to boost the mic output so you can feed it into the line mixer. This would be a lite setup and all run off 12v
