red750
I follow an aircraft photographer on Flickr.com and on the latest notification email, I found this photo of a GAF Nomad mounted as a display. The image had no details attached, so I do not know where the photo was taken, but from the sign in front of the aircraft, it is somewhere in South East Asia. Maybe someone on this forum knows more details.
red750
From other photos in the series, it appears to be Thailand. A bit more Googling suggests it is at Phitsanulok airport. Google satellite view does not appear to cover that area, so I cannot confirm. Google says the page cannot load correctly, and the image is marked "For development purposes only". red750
This one looks like a turboprop conversion of a DC3. Note modified wingtips.
onetrack
Peter, the Nomad appears to be one of these four? ..... "Close to Phitsanulok Airport terminal, four ex RTAF Nomads are being used as holiday homes in the aptly named "Nomad Homestay". I'm not so sure that all 4 are being used for homestay accommodation - unless the one you have pictured has since been lowered to the ground, and modified for accommodation. https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/view/1336745

Downunder
Phitsanulok airport. Interesting airport on google earth. Is that your DC3 turboprop entering 14? Thai airforce.... used for fire bombing it seems. They have seven of them. Others parked up. https://www.dreamstime.com/phitsanulok-province-thailand-january-thai-royal-air-force-open-base-military-airport-children-day-fly-bt-show-mission-image136782867 Directly west from 14 threshhold could be your Nomad.....above the basketball court..... Further west.....a heap of choppers..... Is that a f105 on a pole NW from 14 threshold? Fuse looks a bit short? edit. Thanks to street view, It looks like a T33 Shooting star..... red750
Scouring through the internet I have discovered a number of photos of the DC3 with turboprop engines and straight wing tips like the one above. There are 45 listed on airport-data.com with the name Basler BT-67.
