Guest Fred Bear Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Some pics/articles of yesterdays activities at The Oaks at my web page: http://ultralights.shorturl.com or: http://www.airsearailroad.com God, I look terrible in pictures. Probably in real-life too Enjoy.
Guest David C Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 And you think you look terrible !! .... What about my mug ... I was hoping Bob could have "photoshopped " a few grey hairs away . A full head of hair , nice and bushy I was hoping for , know what I mean .... Never mind mate , they say beauties only skin deep , it's just that we have extra thick skin ;) Dave C
Aussie Steve Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Well I went down to your field on Sunday. Not as good a weather day as Sat. but it was good enough to get up for 0.5 with Dave in the Jabby before we were forced to end the session due to rain.. It went well. Learnt a couple of things that he does differently which I prefer. I hadn`t flown for 8 weeks and was bursting to get up again. Anyway it was nice to fly some where different, a bit disconcerting at first when coming back from the training area, I couldnt tell where the field was ! Paddocks everywhere !! Thats a treat.Anyway , we will probably be going back down in two weeks. It looks like I might be coming down there for a while as the new J160 that we have up here is not signed off yet (insurance etc) to get it on line. Also its waiting for some new bits that Jab have put out that have to be fitted. (jets and revised spats & something to do with the cooling arrangement) Cheers Steve
Bruce Robbins Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Steve, Vos goood to meet ze bandidos from ze mountain, who I zee now just come down to steeel our wimmin and learn ze secret flying styles taught by Daveedo Rolfo, our famoous CFI. Next time you will not be so locky! Ve zee you comin' and ve lock avay ze wimmin and hide Daveedo. Ze Jabbi you can fly, but ze LightVing is not for ze bandidos from ze mountain! Zat one is for peelots only. If you bring beeg bag of silver next time, maybee ve let you vatch vhile ve fly zat one. Maybee.
Aussie Steve Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Generally its a case of ." we,re mountain men & we like mountin women " But "when in Rome....." your women / planes / CFI will do fine. If you lot are too scared to come to us..we,ll have to come to you.
dlps73 Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Next time you will not be so locky! Ve zee you comin' and ve lock avay ze wimmin and hide Daveedo I think you've got that reversed Bruce, Dave should be locked away and the women hidden.......:) Cheers........Doug
Bruce Robbins Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Tomorrow - Saturday 30th June Hi Boys and Girls, Spoke to John Taru this evening and the field is still water-logged from all the rain this week. John didn't think we'd be flying till the afternoon, assuming no more rain. He will still be there from 8:30 am to open up however. The wind is also forecast to be a fairly strong westerly on Saturday, easing and going west/nor-west on Sunday. Cheers!!!
Guest Fred Bear Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Looks like I did not miss much anyway Bruce. Was up at Bathurst all weekend. Oh well, maybe next weekend will be the go. See what happens.
Guest David C Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I was at the field last last Friday . The runways were under water , much worse than the previous weekend , and not useable . Now we have the wind :;)1:... Its wind or rain I'm afraid . Typical ..
