Hunsta Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 As a relative newbie to aviation. What is the general time frame for investigating aircraft crashes and incidents. I understand this could sound a bit like a " how big is a piece of string" type question. But just interested to know so one couuld study cause or factors reguarding aircraft incidents. Cheers Craig
facthunter Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 You might derive an average or mean but it's not very indicative at predicting what the next one will be. . A civil action can go on for years. I know that's not the general form of what happens but is always a possibility. Depending on the remoteness of an accident, the initial assessment is done fairly rapidly as (usually) the plane cannot be interfered with or moved till then. Nev 1
pmccarthy Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 The ATSB reports are on the web and each gives date of accident and date of report. 1
