BackcountryAeropup Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Where can I buy Cleco's without needing to place a huge order I'm chasing some new or used.
Nobody Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 How many do you need? I bought mine from Cleveland aircraft tools. You can get them in numbers as small as 25 but the shipping might be expensive on a small order. http://www.cleavelandtool.com/mobile/1_8-Wedge-Loc-Fastener-25_bag/productinfo/CL18-25/#.XibSiJBxXqs
kgwilson Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 OME used to supply them via the company he worked for a few years ago. Pretty much any quantity and at a good price. I'm sure he will still have contacts.
old man emu Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Before looking for new ones, post a Wanted ad here. A few blokes have completed their RVs and might want to clear out their workshops. Failing that, PM me and I'll give you some contact details.
BackcountryAeropup Posted January 21, 2020 Author Posted January 21, 2020 I'll place a wanted add I only need about 50 if that fails I will ask you guys for your contacts.
ev17ifly2 Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 There are plenty available on EBay, all sizes and quantities at very little cost 1

Marty_d Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Metal man Tools ,i have purchased off him cheaper and very prompt www.metalmantools.com.au Thanks for that link, I wasn't aware of them. Good deal on step drills. OP, it depends on how quick you need them. The supplier mentioned by Gareth has them at $1.50 each (so $75 for 50, plus postage). US suppliers like Pan American Tool have the same ones for 56 cents US (82 cents in normal money), so $41 AUD for 50. If you're buying a bunch of other stuff or a larger number of clecoes, and you can wait, probably makes more sense to by from the US - but if you need them quick, $75 is probably not bad.
derekliston Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Where can I buy Cleco's without needing to place a huge order I'm chasing some new or used. Where are you based. I am in Warwick and have a heap of 1/8 and 5/32 clecos and a pair of pliers that I probably don’t need anymore. No 3/32 though!
