kgwilson Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 This is the 8th annual Wings and Wheels Open Day hosted by Grafton Aero Club. It is free for everyone, exhibitors and visitors alike. In 2019 we had around 35 aircraft, hundreds of motor vehicles from vintage, classic, sports, race, touring and custom/rod cars, motorcycles, stationary engines, model aircraft etc and 2-3000 visitors. Food and drink will be available on site with morning tea consisting of home made cakes savouries etc in the clubhouse and BBQs outside with coffee, cold drinks and icecreams as well. The atmosphere is casual with people able to wander about and get up close to exhibits. Marshals will control engine startups and taxying though for the safety of all. Donations will go to a local charity, yet to be determined. Last year we raised $1,700.00 for the Oncology Unit of Grafton Base Hospital.
Yenn Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 It is good that this sort of fly in still happens. A little bird recently told me that The Old Station is a goer for next year.
ClintonB Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 lets hope for good weather and I will come across the ranges for it, the bird needs some airtime, this summer has sucked for flying weather here. 1
