Marty_d Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 I reckon there would have been and audible "SNAP!" as 400 sphincters closed in unison.
facthunter Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Some pretty wild rudder inputs there. Watch it a few times and keep your eye on the rudder movements.. Nev 1
kgwilson Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 The horizontal stabiliser moves around a lot too. The 45 degree snap turn on the touchdown bounce must have really tested the undercarriage & tyres as well as passengers necks. Depending on how full it was there would probably be at least 400 tonnes being thrown around like a big leaf.
FlyBoy1960 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 I think it was all helped by the wet runway. If it was dry with good grip the result may have been different. Either way its still a long way from a good landing. 1
boleropilot Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 should have diverted - if the gear had come up through the wings there would have been one giant fireball - if that's how Emirates fly I won't fly with them
facthunter Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 It was all going quite well until the "kick it straight" was overdone. Nev 1
