Ballarat Swap Meet

The Ballarat Swap Meet is a big event for car and motorbike enthusiasts, held at the Ballarat Airport. We flew in on Saturday. If anyone is interested in going next year, a couple of words of warning. The walk from the aircraft parking area to the swap meet is a long way, perhaps a couple of km. Then you have to walk up and down several km of stalls. As I said, it is a big event. But the main concern - it is held on Friday and Saturday. The stall holders pack up after lunch on Saturday. The overcast did not lift until 11 am, so we diverted to Maryborough and waited. Arriving ten minutes later, walking to the event, we had an hour or two before it was all effectively over.

One thing I've learnt over the years is NOT to plan to fly in to these events, especially in Vic!
