Can I ride my motorbike?

Cut and past from the link below:

What counts as exercise?

There are a number of options other than walking, jogging, or riding a bike.

Going on a solo motorcycle ride counts as exercise, according to the Queensland Health Minister's office.

So are you trying to tell me that under the Queensland directive section 6 e subject to section 9 I can legally drive a car but not my aircraft?

Can I ride my motorbike? What about the tractor?(if registered)

You keep stating that I'm using a loophole.

I'm travelling from my private residence to another private residence. I'm going direct and not stopping anywhere else.

NOT A LOOPHOLE.

OK that's it for Covid-19 explanations

My original post related to a specific Victorian clarification.

I told you that a second time

I explained how the Health Directions so far have related to what you can do.

Finally!!

You've spent the last two weeks telling the world what they MUST do, based on your interpretation of Chairman Dan's rules.

I would have gone flying this morning, it is always so beautiful with the low cloud on the hills after rain. The motorbike was almost as much fun.Resized_20200410_101907_6731.thumb.jpg.3870d92590de730b7635995184479ff2.jpg

Through our local club the Vic government has told us that we cannot drive or ride vehicles on historic plates. Even if we are going to the shop. The police will stop us and the presumption is that you are out driving for fun. I suspect that this would not stand up in court but it is "a word to the wise".

Telling them "why don't you go after a REAL criminal?" won't work either. Just say I'd rather go to Gaol than pay THAT fine, and see how that runs. THEN the GAOL must met the new separation etc standards? or they are putting the Virus situation in Jeopardy. and should be fined. Nev

Heh, I’m thinking there’s a bit of an IQ test going on with them ‘restrictions’ - if yer caint think up a valid reason to be out and about then you really should be at home...?

Pulled up for driving a historic plate car ?... answer, I’m using it to go to the shop because my daily driver is not working at this time..?

And you'd be asked to present evidence, that will stand up in a court, that your daily driver is, "not working at this time". Expect a visit from police to inspect the "problem" with said "daily driver".

Historic plates are issued on the basis of restricted levels of driving, and only for use in attending club displays, or for travel for maintenance purposes. You would have to precisely outline, the "essential" maintenance requirement.

A friend of mine has a car on special plates I am not sure if they are historic. He has to keep a logbook, filled out for every day he takes it on the road. He also has a camping bus and a motorbike for transport. I cannot see that if he used the car, because maybe it was too wet to ride the bike and a bit silly to take out a camping bus, that he would be contributing to the spread of covid19.

Well, officer, your more then welcome to come to my place and find my missing car keys...?

If you go for an "excursion" to the shops in your vehicle fitted with historic plates, they would nail you on disobeying the conditions as applicable to your historic plates. "Historic plates" were specifically mentioned in post #606.

Nuf fun, back to the serious stuff...

“...Dr Sucharit Bhakdi is a specialist in microbiology. He was a professor at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and head of the Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hygiene and one of the most cited research scientists in German history.

What he says:

We are afraid that 1 million infections with the new virus will lead to 30 deaths per day over the next 100 days. But we do not realise that 20, 30, 40 or 100 patients positive for normal coronaviruses are already dying every day.

[The government’s anti-COVID19 measures] are grotesque, absurd and very dangerous […] The life expectancy of millions is being shortened. The horrifying impact on the world economy threatens the existence of countless people. The consequences on medical care are profound. Already services to patients in need are reduced, operations cancelled, practices empty, hospital personnel dwindling. All this will impact profoundly on our whole society.

All these measures are leading to self-destruction and collective suicide based on nothing but a spook...”

One track, VIC historic plates are different to NSW ones. You can use them for whatever you choose to, you have to fill out log book with date and intended drive before you start. Historic plates in VIC are just a percentage of normal rego, either 45 or 90 days. I have driven my Historic rego'd car into town the last couple of days, we have had no word that you can't drive them from our club or organising body.

Do you think we could get a bit of a handle on basics......If you "can't" or "cannot" do something, generally it's not possible due to physics or something.

In regards to the law, your are "not permitted" or "not allowed".

You can, for the most part, do things that are "not permitted", but may face some consequences, then there are things you actually "can't" do, like get to 100 knots in an X-air standard in level flight.

What's its VNE?

The sticker says just under 180 knots but it's held on with Bluetac so should be good for 82 knots.

I'll go for a fly later and try it later.

I’m told the Drifter is a great hunting platform. Apparently yer just hold the rifle about parallel with yer right leg and as yer come up from behind and a few feet above the running buffalo yer shoot it in the back bone - anywhere from tail to head of the backbone will do to bring it down. Land and take the cuts yer want - over a 100kg will strap to the back seat so I’m told..?

Good to know the versatility of our aircraft as we may need to go get our own food shortly - Seems there might be a food shortage coming up.....
