As a Victorian, I'm happy with Dan's decisions and generally with Australia's actions.

Australia corona cases...........7,276 cases with 102 deaths.

As an example

Canada..........................................97,000 cases, 7960 deaths.

America.........................................2 million cases, 114,000 deaths.

Yes there are differences in population but percentage wise Australian States health management has done way, way better.

An example between management styles between States/provinces Ontario has 31,000 and next door in Manitoba they have 300 cases.

I'm happy with Dan's decisions, Dan has done a superb job, long live chairman Dan :oh yeah:

The only problem here is the inconsistencies between States with differing measures. That is a theme common to federations but it would seem to me this issue would have been a good time for them all to come together and agree on a common approach. No, too much stupid rivalry and of course different opinions from each chief medical officer so now we are almost out of the woods & still have all the different crazy rules and some State borders closed. Across the ditch the single approach reduced confusion & they are back to normal except for the borders.

Well its nice to know the southern latitudes have the same political issues the northern ones do!

As for GA/experimental flying here, mostly it depends on your destination. Here I have traveled to northern CA, AZ, and TX (mostly because business are open) and have been able to enjoy my new build. That said, I did cancel a few planned trips due to closures at the destinations. Keep you tanks topped up, and your tach time increasing :)

I'd be a bit suspicious of someone who locks down a state, not even allowing decent funerals and then allows thousands of Bacon Lettuce and Mayo protesters to do what they like.

Given the measures already taken and the relaxation of some rules the response to the BLM protests was reasonable even if the protests were against the rules. From TV pictures many wore masks and hand sanitiser was dispensed. Of course they could have been like the US and sent in riot police. What would that achieve? It would further inflame the situation and ensure any thought of social distancing would be completely dispensed with..

Cut and paste from news article..

Double standard much???

If it's ok to protest, it's ok to do pretty much evertything.

Victoria Police closed a popular Mornington Peninsula pier over concerns that locals and visitors were not “observing social-distancing requirements” just two days after thousands marched through the streets of Melbourne without penalty.

People would be “moved on” if they visited Rye pier and more local attractions would be shut if social-distancing was not observed, the police later said.

The apparent double standard in policing comes as health authorities consider lifting social-distancing restrictions more quickly and pressure mounts on states that let thousands of people march in Black Lives Matter protests on Saturday.

I don't think it's double standards at all.. They have to take practical decisions; normally, the decision is to impose and enforce appropriate social distancing. For the demonstrations, it was a question of allowing it to happen to minimise as much as possible the contravention to social distancing; and as I understand they were conducted under a watchful eye in case things got out of hand - or interfere and guarantee maximum social interaction - and also put your police at unnecessary risk as well.. They had a developing situation for which they had to assess and determine the best (or in this case, the least worse) course of action. We may differ in our assessment of what the appropriate course of action was, but it is not a double standard. Any of those protestors in the normal course of events breaching or endangering social distancing et al would have been dealt in the same way as those in Rye - or anywhere else.

Back to the original topic: As little as possible. So far I have been able to fly locally (see below) and have made several xcountry flights where the economy is open. Did cancel 2 flights due to local shutdowns at the destination. But all in all still getting flights in.IMG_5385.thumb.JPG.a19c882778e657a07d91ce275a4e9fa7.JPG
