Mike Gearon
Is the motor in your CAD a download? I work in Solidworks. Wouldn’t want to be drawing that up. Even a rough non spec would be 20 hours.
pylon500
Welcome to the site, we have a building blog/discussion page further down; https://www.recreationalflying.com/forums/aircraft-building-and-design-discussion.55/ (off to have a look...) ... And I'm back. Hmm, the fish eye lens photo of the motor makes it look HUGE. Edited April 15, 2020 by pylon500

Even a rough non spec would be 20 hours. The 3D model of the engine was sent to me from Aeromomentum. I am currently designing an engine mount and cowling within Fusion360. Decided to keep going and build the whole plane as one day I might build a Xplane model for the simulator. I am building the model similar to the real build.
planedriver
. This will be another interesting build to follow. Certainly looks like you are off to a great start. Keep the enthusiasm going, and it looks like Dad is enjoying it too because he's looking forward to a ride..
