I get “ one at a time please” when I get on scales.

good thing I have 440kg payload I suppose.

I'm fairly fortunate in having chosen slender parents, but I've also been preparing for this situation for forty years, so have enough room for the building projects that give my lungs a workout. Very few power tools, lots of that Spanish bloke: Manual Labour.

No ride-on mower, I do the whole lot with a wizzer, which is like a free Tai-Chi session.

Holding steady.. Was decreasing, but since stuffing up my leg, returning to normal. Have to check what I eat at the moment. "Yeah, looks good.. go for it!"

I have a bet going with my doctor but over the phone he can't check up so I'd lose the bet but I'm not telling anyone. It's ALL my wife's fault cause she broke her hip and I have to stay around to keep an eye on her.. Nev

I've been variously driving

A pick

A chainsaw

A bypass cutter

A push mower

A ladder

A spray gun

A wheelbarrow

A drop saw

An electric screwdriver

A paintbrush;

 

plus I'm still working five days a week in my office

 

I lost 4kg over three days.

 

In the last two weekends I have moved 1.5 tonnes of granite boulders and a similar amount of green waste

 

Apart from working five days a week in an office, none of this has been by choice

I decided to use the push mower one day.

My wife wore out two of these, then swapped a bottle of rum for a mower with a plurry engine. Backslider!

I've been a good boy the last 5 months, lost 11kg's but some bugga stole my scales but left a faulty one now telling lies ?

Still on Michael Mosely 5:2 program and after 3 years, MTOW stabilised at 73kg, (down from 80), and BSL stabilised at 4.9-5.0 Eat whatever I like on the '5' days off the leash and it doesn't change a thing.

 

Just completed my Class 1 again in Feb - the 1st medical since having pacemaker implanted. All ticking reliably.

Only to find it a couple of days later, Got down to 93,6 K, than back up to 94.5 a couple of days ago, NOT getting on those lying scales again. LoL ( started before hip replacement at 105 K.

Getting my socks on myself.

I'm still working in my workshop most days, haven't gained anything. I sit around 75kgs all the time, but if I start slacking off, I go up to 78kg, which I hate.

I don't know how blokes cope, trying to do anything physical, with a massive gut hanging over their belt.

Once that gut starts to grow it's very hard to beat. I put on 5kg over Xmas, being away from home with nothing to do but eat and drink.

During this lockdown we've got plenty of physical work to do and have rationed ourselves to no alcohol thru the week and it's paying off: both of us are back to healthy weight and, come Friday arvo, really appreciate a beer and a wine!

Following on from post #10, I added

 

A demolition crowbar

Two hammers at the same time

A reciprocating saw

A bradding stapler

A folding pocket knife

A caulking gun

A massive spirit level

A skil saw; and

A visit from the electrician on Anzac Day. She will be coming back too

 

This doesn't cover the raw materials. To be honest, the projects aren't anyone else's business. I just do what I'm told.

 

I was going to take some days to go flying. I still might but the weather is about to turn sketchy and my back hurts. My wallet is a bit thinner too

My wife requested for her birthday something that goes from O to 130 in 5 seconds. I got her a very good set of bathroom scales.

My MTOW dropped substantially as I`ve only been flying solo since socially distancing came into force! seriously though! for my wife Frances and Me life has not changed much at all.

 

I`m holding steady at 70kg and believe it or not, I`ve been around that weight most of my adult life... I`m 72 years of age now and I don`t want or need to be any heavier and there`s not much chance of that happening as I get plenty of physical activity just maintaining our property, then there`s the voluntary work I do for a neighbor and our eldest daughter and her Husband so in total I mow around 5 ha of lawn every week and a fair bit of that is with the Victa push mower, I also try to do a minimum of 5 k on my push-bike each day...Life`s good.

I took up horse riding to lose some weight; after 2 weeks the horse has lost 20 Kg!

Hope you are recovering well in hospital, a frying pan to the noggin can be quite painful!
