You've been looking at an aeronautical supplier if you are paying that much, plenty around at under $60.

I just typed in the brand name show on Ebay, that's all that popped up! No aviation outlet.

The boating fraternity with inboards can't drain their oil in the normal manner, via a sump plug. So they use a sump pump and suck the sump dry. You can get one off Whitworths for $19.95.

Sure beats a mouthful of highly carcinogenic engine, with lots of pollutants in it, from by-products of combustion.

 

And yes, used engine oil is highly carcinogenic, it's the reason mechanics have a 5 yr shorter lifespan than the males who don't paddle in oil every day.

It is amazing what there is that you didn't know existed. You can even get 12 volt pumps for $30.00. That Whitworths item is cheap but the $17.00 post charge makes it more expensive than from Ebay at $30.00 delivered.

After my initial enthusiasm, I remembered that I already have a similar hand pump in my workshop; just hadn't occurred to me to use it for oil changes.

Yes I looked at that pump but postage made it uneconomical.
