Jerry_Atrick Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 ATC took decisive control - great job considering the pilot wanted to return to Redcliffe ATSB investigation: Investigation: AO-2020-032 - Pilot incapacitation involving Cessna 208B, VH-DQP, near Brisbane Airport, Queensland, on 2 July 2020 2
Jabiru7252 Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 Would be nice to know what was actually the problem. Booze, drugs, fatigue. Old age?
Flightrite Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 Glad that ended well. It's nerve racking being part of such activities, done that a couple of times trying to locate a lost plane or two. Hope the guy gets help he needs it!
Yenn Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 That just shows what a helping hand is available from Airservices and other pilots. In this case flydoc. great work.
kgwilson Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 Good outcome. The pilot certainly did not sound that great even though he said he was OK. Good work from all involved.
