When you come up with a good design for an aircraft, it lends itself to many tasks.

 

The Douglas DC-3 started out as a 1930's airliner. It joined up for WWll and became a biscuit bomber, amongst other things. Still fit for military service, it served as a ground attack aircraft during the Vietnam War.

Her's some information about that period of its service.
