Jack Ferguson Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 G'day Whats out there for sale? 4 stoke, single seat. Corby Starlet, Vp1, Bobcat or similar? Cheers
skippydiesel Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 ATEC Solo - Pre loved - its in Europe unfortunately but if the price is right https://www.planecheck.com/eu/aspdet.asp?nr=49883. Fantastic performance about $50 K Au but importation /registration/GST will add another approximately $10 K - Still for $60K you get incredible performance & econamy.
Yenn Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 I am thinking of hanging up the headset. I reckon 85 years old is good enough for me. That means I will have my Corby to go to a good home sometime soon. Haven't thought about price. 3
skippydiesel Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 85 year old head set? Must be steam powered . About time you bought a new pair 😂 1
440032 Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 There's a gorgeous not that old Jab powered Starlet for sale at Gawler. RAAus reg. I don't want to give the guys details on here, how can I get it to you Jack...

Kyle Communications Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 There is a Corby in my hangar that the guy hasnt flown for about 4 years..has a Jab 80hp in it...it used to go really quick but not sure why it hasnt moved for that time...cowling is off so maybe a engine issue..probably get it pretty cheap
APenNameAndThatA Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Single seat four stroke. I'd go with this. Late model for this particular aircraft. You would need to get an independent inspection, and factor in shipping.
Blueadventures Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Two seats are good to fly one up and when you on sell or upgrade more market opportunity, plus if you do some travelling can carry gear on pax seat. 1
KRviator Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 If you have the $$, I'd get a small 2 seater over a roomy single seat. Even if its' only somewhere to throw your nav bag & water bottle. There's a couple of Jabiru's for sale on the RAAus classifieds for $26.5 and $27.0 and a GR912 for sale down Tasmania way but both obviously not singles. I saw a Sapphire for sale that I'm thinking about buying if its' still around when I've moved house, for $11.5 but I'm told they aren't that great for taller pilots - and it has a '447 in it, and you said you're after a 4-stroke. Check out Lightwing's page - they look to have a Pocket Rocket with a 582 available now for $12K. That's good value, even if it is a 2 stroke...
RetiredRacer Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 I have a Thatcher CX4 90% complete. I expect to have it finished in the next couple of months. New Rev Master Fitted. Message me if you want more info or to negotiate. Will be selling well below build cost.!!
Marty_d Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Just googled them, the Thatcher CX4 is a lovely looking aircraft.
facthunter Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 I'd recommend Hi wing tandem seat as most versatile and best visibility (except in turns, but you look before you turn) Nev 1
