shajen Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Anyone know who owns the airstrip on Break of Day Rd at Glenburn, Vic? It’s a private strip and shows up really well on the satellite map.
Tee Brownie Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Hi Shajen, did you get any responses about a strip at Glenburn. We are looking for one also. There used to be one on Glenburn Station Farm???
shajen Posted April 29, 2022 Author Posted April 29, 2022 Hi Tee Brownie, no haven’t had any reply on that question. Never hurts to ask though! I guess that Lilydale is closest, I’ve been told that Yeaburn has a new owner and won’t be continuing it as an airstrip. are you Maryborough in Victoria or qld? Good luck with your flying, most grass strips are a bit wet in Victoria at the moment. Cheers
Tee Brownie Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Hey thanks for that. Yes i heard the same of that farm which is a bummer. We are located in Maryborough Vic. I used to live in Glenburn, just off BreakoDay rd, moved after the black sat bush fires. I knew of the air strip then. With the farming community you would think there would be more airstrips around Glenburn and Yea
shajen Posted May 1, 2022 Author Posted May 1, 2022 Strange isn’t it? Some areas have heaps of private strips and others none. Have you been into unusual attitudes strip at Lake Eppalock? That’s an amazing place! He’s really done that well! 1
shajen Posted May 1, 2022 Author Posted May 1, 2022 I used to fly into Maryborough a bit. It’s a nice quiet strip. Lot of fencings been done. The friends I used to visit have now moved to St Leonard’s. I’m still to fly to Barwon Heads to visit them.
440032 Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 St Leonard's airstrip not an option Shajen? I don't know who owns it these days.... And there's another just north of there, west of Salt Lagoon. Or Swan Bay (Eon - Bay City Microlights). And there's a few others scattered on the Bellarine, all private.
