Interesting fact about the Pepsi-painted Concorde - they only had it in that colour scheme for 16 chartered flights, and because it was blue instead of the normal white, the pilots had to fly maximum of mach 1.7 instead of the normal maximum 2.04.  (Because of skin heating).

Must have cost a fortune for that advertising campaign!

NOT ALL  " paint schemes  "  are paint !.

Vinyl transfers are looking good and can be removed for another  " look " at a later date, or owner.

It,s less than many, ( primer/undercoat/fillercoat/topcoat, and clearcoat. ) coats of paint.

ALSO

on many you don,t have to cover the entire area,.

If your gelcoat comes out of the mold, a shitti green color, adding streamers of contrsting vinyl will hide a hidious image.

My gut feeling would be around price of two and a half cars. The only issues from my memory were wrapping around wings and tail as when it starts peeling, it doesn't block/interfere controls.

Still, 5-6k's is 3x less than regular painting quoted at $20k for c172.
