danny_galaga Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 I'm slowly getting to the pointy end of my kit build. What are the rules about completion? Is it the case it has to be inspected? For some reason I imagined you were under your own reconnaissance
kasper Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 When did you start the build? Thats important as when the tech manual changed last time the number of inspections went up from 1 at end of build to 4 - 3 during build and 1 at end. If you started building before the tech manual change you can keep the old single at end inspection but if you started after and you have not had 3 inspections during construction I would have a quick chat with RAAus tech office and see what your options are ... 1
Blueadventures Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Aug 2016 from memory. Technical manual 4 brought in the 3 additional stage inspections then the final 4th is the usual final / pre flight. The intent to build form sent to RAA gets you a package of information. Also the weight and balance is also required and some images. They also include the warning sign to be displayed. Post an image when you can always nice to see the colours etc. Like Kasper said contact RAA and discuss with them to get back on track. 1
