I like them but have never flown one. We look after one at work. Good solid engine and airframe parts are available from univair. A bit of history and the price is right, I say go for it.

It's really not the kind of Plane I go for but don't let that stop anyone. A plane that fly's itself is tending to be too stable for what I like. That doesn't mean I want an unstable plane. It is just something that stays where you put it. Neutral if you can. I don't mind leading any application of aileron with a bit of rudder if I have to and only the pilot knows when aileron is going to be applied and how much and how quickly. The Tripacer had spring interconnection and I didn't like that either . It Half does a job that's easy to do anyhow. Nev

There is a 1946 Ercoupe on RAAus reg for sale at present. I have fancied one for years. Any comments?

I have no idea how you would handle it in a strong crosswind. It did target a particular market. nev

The trailing link undercarriage can cope with a crabbed landing. Or there is a retrofit kit for rudder pedals.
