best wishes James . I reckon you will have a lot of fun. At least to start, try for calm days for flying. Yes I know NZ is a windy place.

Welcome James

I have a friend who owns a Boorabee based at Clifton in Queensland.  If you don't know of him shoot me a PM and I'll get him to contact you.  email is good.

Regards

Mike

That's a pretty provocative statement, Nev!

It's my impression that both countries (and probably every country) present some unique combinations of weather and terrain, which the local pilots learn, as best they can, to work with?

You are being most diplomatic. .  If you can't handle wind in NZ, you have 2 choices . Don't fly or improve your skill so you can.  Nev.

The driver of the car is understood to have been treated at hospital for “a broken nose and a few cuts”.

Here's a Kiwi flier, just hit the news today............

Cheers team,

Will accept all advice, it’s not the first plane I’ve flown but should be a bunch of fun. A fair bit slower than what I’m used to but that will be part of the joy.

I’ll post some pics once it’s all up and operational again.

There are a few around. Dan3111 his is hanging up in a hangar at Caboolture. He cant bring himself to sell it off I think. Tom made quite a few I think. Everyone who flys them swears by them..great little aircraft

Both countries?  Isn't New Zealand really East Australia? [edit] or the Eastern Territory [/edit]

Or, is Australia really the West Island? I can't remember...

It’s the part that doesn’t blindly follow the USA into stupid wars.

Good article in The Age today by the author of China Panic. Dr David Brophy.
