Good grief. That is a near-death experience.  I stopped it at the frame where the nosewheel goes past the photographer's head, and I'm sure it was below the height of his head.  The guy on the motor scooter on the road got a surprise too.

No room for error.  The only way to steepen the approach is go slower once all flap is out and that has it's hazards as well. Looking at the angle required it seems a bit precarious to me to be so low way back there.  Nev

Yeah, it seems like it's an everyday sport there at St.Barth (both the flying and the dodging). There are hundreds of vids online of planes driving down the hill to the threshold. If they don't hug the terrain they run the risk of a sandy overrun - as in this famous clip:

Seen that one a few times. He was NEVER going to be able to stop when you float more than 1/2 way down the runway. You have to know when to go around in such circumstances. Nev
