onetrack Posted June 12, 2021 Posted June 12, 2021 Peter, is this the story you were trying to put up? https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/aviation/a36650966/watch-navy-stingray-drone-refuel-super-hornet-midair/ It's interesting to see how far the military drones have advanced - to the point where the unmanned X-47B, is doing "touch and go" carrier landings!
Marty_d Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Refuelling shouldn't be a hard ask for a drone. From my limited knowledge I believe that all you have to do is meet the recipient at a specified height and location, then fly extremely stable and steady racetrack patterns. 1
kgwilson Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 In the not too distant future they will have drones refuelling drones when most of the military aircraft a piloted by desk jockeys. 1 1
