Captain Beaver Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Hi team, I have recently purchased a TST/300 and putting her back in the air. Was in storage for sometime so a few bits missing. I am chasing the small bushes that fit at the front of the fin (under and below the fues tube). Does anyone know of any or have any! Look forward to sharing more about this little jigger when she is finished! Cheers Mark (Tasmania) 2
Thruster88 Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Get a mate with a lathe or a machine shop to turn some up out of nylon bar. Good to hear of another thruster restoration.

Captain Beaver Posted September 26, 2021 Author Posted September 26, 2021 Great to hear BrendAn! I think they are a lot of fun to fly - ive only flown T500 so far but mine should be airworthy soon. Still waiting on a few parts. Found a LAME who runs a machine shop - so he is making the bits I need 🙂 Seems that half of Tasmania has flown my plane at some stage - so its has a great history. Love to see pics of your T300 🙂 2

spacesailor Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 (edited) I almost bought one many years ago. Was at the cafe, on the Pacific highway, Brooklyn, Sydney. THEN the place burnt down. spacesailor Edited October 8, 2021 by spacesailor Missed word 1
Thruster88 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 My thruster, bought 1990 when it was just two years old. Have loved every minute. 3
Methusala Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Pictures of my 25-393. Lovely safe ultralight. 2

facthunter Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Reward Him/her handsomely. I'm sure you will have some thrilling moments. Till the mid 80's there were NO 2 seater Thrusters and some how or other the world kept turning.. Nev 1
Methusala Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 How boring it all was 'till we had Thrusters!😃 2

Methusala Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 I'd come down to give you helpful advice but I'm in 'lockdown'. (Sounds like we are a mob of Ned Kelly's doesn't it?) 1

This is one country which should have handled covid as one not splitting up into seperate dictatorships . 1

Methusala Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 'Day Brendan, I sold the Thruster because I wasn't confident of access to airfield in the future. Yes, I miss it but have access to a club Jabby when not locked in. Have flown Thrusters for 30 odd years, think they are a mighty trainer (tailwheel, of course). Our CFI said that if you could fly one well you could fly anything. 1
facthunter Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Don't know if I'd go THAT far. A thruster is like a thruster and it's just a bit different especially if you want to 3 point it. Most people don't and that's ok if the field isn't rough.. Nev 1
Methusala Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Mick Parer used to fly Mirages. Agree that it may be a bit of a tall story 'though Nev.😀 1
facthunter Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Landing a mirage (like all delta's) is very nose up. It would be vastly different but a good pilot adapts, because you must.. A thruster pilot going to a Jabiru 230 would find the doubling of speed "different". Nev 1
