spacesailor Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Top bid at the moment is about 1/2 a $million. But, some are less th a 1/4 $ million. The poweredsIlplanes are $ 35,000, and look i good condition. spacesailor
Student Pilot Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 A -67 PT 6 is worth a lot just for the core. 1
Marty_d Posted November 10, 2021 Author Posted November 10, 2021 Those gliders look good - couple of them are around $36 - $38K at the moment - but in the description it says "UNSERVICEABLE". What's going on there? Is that a caveat that they have to put in to protect themselves or does it really mean the aircraft cannot be flown? The trailers are the duck's guts too.
spacesailor Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 That,s a huge problem for any buyer. How can any company expect a reasonable return, with conditions like they have. A pity the seller won,t help either. There seems to be more aircraft in the background, than in the auction. spacesailor
jackc Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 ASK21 are a nice glider, I did some training in one at Benalla about 7 years ago.
spacesailor Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Does your glider have the motor ?. As those ex military ASK21 powered glider. spacesailoe
facthunter Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Powered gliders have been around for a long time now but don't seem to have "caught on" much. You can't really "taxi" them . It could eliminate the dreaded outlanding with all it's retrieval BOTHER. and you don't need a cast of thousands and the long queue to get in the air. Nev 1 1
nomadpete Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Anyone know if any PC9's ended up in Tassie? Today I saw one over fly Scamander (east coast of Tassie) When I say 'over', I mean maybe 500' over the road and houses, and it was about 90 degrees to horizontal and made a lot of noise. Wasn't very bright coloured, painted drab. If he thought the camo makes him invisible, he forgot the noise got everyone's attention! Do some pilots think that nobody notices this kind of behaviour? 2

Tell the truth, Peter, you're just jealous...
