Blackhawk Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Anyone know what's happened to Wedgetail Aircraft, their web site has disappeared. Are they still operating ?
kgwilson Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Ray Tolhurst who owns/ed Wedgetail is/was a member of this site. He took over the support of Morgan Aircraft when Garry Morgan returned to NZ. I haven't heard anything from him for ages. The last post he made was 30 August 2020.

I saw Ray at Camden airport a few days ago. There is also a Sign on his Hangar WEDGETAIL AIRCRAFT

kgwilson Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 I heard some comments that there were a lot of parts etc that just disappeared. I don't think they went to the tip.
KRviator Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Wedgetail bought that 'Experimental' Aztec I was considering earlier this year. Got caught up with work issues and couldn't finish my due diligence before it was sold. Registered to "Wedgetail Aviation Pty Ltd" with an address in Carlingford. Wonder what'll happen to it now? If anyone knows what's happening to the Wedgetail assets, I'd wouldn't mind getting in touch with whomever is managing their affairs. 1

KRviator Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 That's interesting as the Aztec was purchased mid-this-year and is still tooling about out of Bankstown. Did he have a business partner or someone else to take the reins? 1

onetrack Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Wedgetail Aircraft P/L appears to have been Ray Tolhursts registered company. This company has been de-registered. Wedgetail Aviation P/L is a different company, and owns VH-EBT, which I presume is the Aztec aircraft KRaviator mentions. Wedgetail Aircraft Pty Ltd WWW.AUSTRALIACHECK.COM Wedgetail Aircraft Pty Ltd VH-EBT 6 AUSTAIRDATA.COM.AU Registration VH-EBT Sequence 6 Registration Date 201207 Aircraft Type PA-23-250 Aztec C Constructor's Number 27-385
3rd harmonic Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Yeah, it was sadly mentioned on this site previously that Ray was no longer with us. When I visited him at Camden there was A LOT of aircraft in various states of repair. I was hoping that thier might be a garage sale of the stuff as I was looking for some Morgan related items, I'm sure it wouldn't be so easy to deal with tidying that all up...
