I found this great primer on exhaust valve materials, and also a good treatment on surface treatments , and discussion of various compatibilities with leaded/unleaded fuel, seats, etc  compatibility between valve stem metals and guide metals , temperature profiles, corrosion, a history of used metals , types of failures with pictures etc etc fascinating....

worthwhile going to the bottom of the document.  all sorts of goodies.

Time to consider you valves eh. ? That valve mob has been in the game a while.  They will make one offs or large numbers. Many Race engines the valves are listed, BDA fords etc. Chromed or nitrided stems are almost mandatory with a compatible guide material. IF the stem "galls" at all the life is short and it could Jamb.(seize). Some of their exhaust valve stem running clearances are a touch on the tight side. Use engine makers spec's if greater.. Nev
