One of the tubes in my plane has a pinch near the valve. So it's RS before it's even flown 😁

Anyway, it's a 8.5-6 tube. Where does one buy tubes for aircraft in Australia?

I guess it depends on your rego category; 19 probably means you have some flexibility, 24 probably not.

I paid $95 for a replacement tube from a well-known aircraft supplier; it failed soon after, then I paid $18 for a “mower tube”  (which appeared to be identical) from my local tyre shop. It has caused no problem in almost a decade.

Bush Aero may be able to help - although they don't specifically list the 8.50-6 tube.

ASAP Aircraft Spares list the 8.50-6 size, but don't carry it on the shelf - so there'd probably be a lengthy wait for delivery from them.

Superior Air Parts list the 8.50-6 tube on their website. Whether they actually keep it in stock, is the $64 question.

A tube shouldn't be too critical. The tyre is more so. Nev

Shouldn't be, but I already wasted money on two tubes from a regular tyre shop where it turned out the valve stem didn't sit right. I'd rather just get it right the second time around...

Danny with some tube sizes Wagga Bike and tyre will have available two qualities of tube and thier respective prices and then up to you to decide.  Call and speak with Fred and I'm sure he will provide good in field knowledge and information  about tubes.  Some times he is unavailable at the time you phone due to instructing and other work tasks. Cheers, you must be close now. Are you getting to Old Station.

When ever picking a tube ( any ) check were it is folded !. Often four folds with a zip tye to keep it small.

As a lot are cracking at thar fold.
