Guest Maj Millard Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Tomo, When I flew in the States one of the nicknames they had for me was (excuse my French) Airwhore 1. I think we will have to call you Airwhore 2 ??.
Trevor Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 A couple more not on the list and which I fly is the Foxbat and the Foxcon Terrier 200, as well as training in the Jab 160. Foxbat gets my vote out of these. All the best. Trevor

Guest Howard Hughes Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Why is there no 'other', for those of us who don't yet fly RAA, but would love to!
Tomo Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 G'day Howard, just noticed you fly the Kingair, how do you find them? I reckon they look like a nice machine.
ahlocks Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 how do you find them? ...press the remote. Listen for a chirp, then look for the flashing nav lights? :raise_eyebrow:
ahlocks Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 ..But it wasn't meant to be harsh IceB :black_eye:
Bryon Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 ...press the remote. Listen for a chirp, then look for the flashing nav lights? :raise_eyebrow: Damn, beaten to the keyboard by ahlocks :hittinghead: once again (but it is funny:laugh:)
ahlocks Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 It's all good! :thumb_up: Giving "The Grin :big_grin:" cheek should be a team sport...
Tomo Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 ...press the remote. Listen for a chirp, then look for the flashing nav lights? :raise_eyebrow: You know, as I wrote that question, I had a suspicion that someone would say something like this...
Tomo Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 It's all good! :thumb_up:Giving "The Grin :big_grin:" cheek should be a team sport... Is it a bit hard on your 'own' Ahlocks? I'm sorry, I should ease up a bit shouldn't I??! ;)
ahlocks Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I should ease up a bit shouldn't I??! Ummm..... , No... :big_grin::thumb_up:
Guest Howard Hughes Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 ...press the remote. Listen for a chirp, then look for the flashing nav lights? :raise_eyebrow: You give me too much credit Mr Locks, one never looks outside, you might see something scary... Tomo, the Kingair is a good aircraft to fly, it goes reasonably fast and reasonably high, I'd much rather be flying an LSA, or gyrocopter though!:thumb_up:
ahlocks Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Sounds like we might have nearly met before then... [serious comment] Tomo's "How do you find?" question about a bloody big twin made me laugh. [/serious] ...and Tomo loves getting picked on. ;) 'cuz he keeps coming back for more!
Tomo Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 ...and Tomo loves getting picked on. ;) 'cuz he keeps coming back for more! Indeed, I give what I get... ;) On the pretense of - "What comes in, must go out" :clown: Ps. Thanks Howard.
winsor68 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Wow... Jabiru is clearly in the lead by an enormous margin... Good stuff!
Guest Walter Buschor Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Savannah! Everyone who's flown one is impressed!. Not the best looker but a great plane. The Piper Cup is great too but at 70 mph no rocket ship. I would like to try the new IBIS 700. I've seen the at Gympie being assembled. A truly great looking plane - and regardless of price. If it flys as good as it looks Tecnam and others will have a really hard time . The quality of this plane is amazing. They are rumored to sell for $95000 fly away!!. Including full instruments. For that kind of money it is an unbeatable proposition. If the budget does not stretch that far build a savannah for approx $ 65000 plus labour. These would be the best value for money AC. fly safe Walter
Bubbleboy Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Im flying a Corvair powered Pietenpol Air Camper....from my garage In the building phase... Scotty
