red750 Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 This pic will undoubtedly go down as one of the most famous Australian aviation pics ever. It was photographed by Nino Lo Giudice from the rooftop of fellow photographer David Kapernick’s apartment on the edge of the Brisbane River. This FA-18F Super Hornet is based at Amberley RAAF Base Queensland and was taken during the Riverfire rehearsal. Riverfire is an event held as part of the Brisbane Festival. The gaggle of photographers dressed in dayglow flak jackets are actually on the top of Brisbane's, Story Bridge. This image is © Copyright Nino Lo Guidice 2022. 6 4

facthunter Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 To see the unshopped version you had to see the Russians at Avalon. They were absolutely crazy. About a foot off the ground with the wingtip/ Nev 1
rodgerc Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 I’d like to imagine there is a moral in this (Storey Bridge) photograph….. Imagine if before “the decisive moment” Nino had been a little miffed that he had missed out on scoring a prime position along with the Hi-Vis jacketed crew on top of the bridge….Appeals to my sense of justice.
