Is the J120 available as a kit so i can register it experiment and put my own instruments in? alternatively, what's the price on a j120 kit?

The target was to build and supply a simple, good quality, good performance, good handling, cheap to run and quite sophisticated little 2 seat aeroplane at the cheapest price possible.

 

The J120 is well on the way to achieving that target.

 

You may be able to buy and reregister as experimental but you will have to check this out.

Then you can do what you want and have a wider cabin etc........

The J120 is just the SP fuselage. If you wanted a kit, just order one instead. When they come out of the factory, be they for Kit or Factory built, they are exactly the same. As for how much you'd save, that is another question because $58k is reasonable value.
