I know one of the thunderbirds had a traditionally black tail. as it flew in the back, with the rudder in the exhaust of the lead jet - was easier then cleaning the soot off when flying F4 phantoms think the blue angels opposing solo has his numbers upside down too Edited March 9, 2023 by spenaroo 1
