J230D 4 point seat harness

I asked Jabiru if they could fit a 4-point seat harness to a J230D, rather than the lap sash type that seems to be their standard.

 

Their response was NO. Has anyone fitted a 4-point? Is it even possible?

 

I presume that even if it's possible for a 24 reg, it would require an LOA from Jabiru.

 

Am I worrying about nothing? Do owners find the lap sash adequate?

You need the structure for that. Lap sash meets the requirement for that kind of aircraft. Airliners have 5 point belts but the seat would cost the price of your aeroplane.  Aerobatic planes have 4? but require frequent inspections because of the loads they are subject to..  Nev
