shafs64 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Hi I don't if anybody for this site knew John lindsay. He was the testing officer of my GFPT and that was about four year ago. i was suprised when i met him because he was at that time 76 years old after testing me for the GFPT took control of the aircraft and showed me his skills. after that Demonstration i was pumped and i didn't know a 172 could do that sort of thing. But on a sad note i found out the John passed away late last year. I don't know what else to say i just thought he was a great pilot. Paul
youngmic Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 There was a mile long thread on Pprune mourning his passing. He was indeed a true gentlemen and epitomised the very essence of a professional pilot. I was very fortunate to work under his leadership in 95 for the annual power line survey. Mick
