Old Koreelah Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Well done fellas! I once discovered a Sabre in a hangar at Narromine, half buried under hay bales and crap. 1 2
Marty_d Posted May 31, 2023 Author Posted May 31, 2023 I remember my grade 9 history teacher telling me that he saw Sabres being sold for $60k in flying condition. This would have been 1986 or thereabouts. 1 1
spacesailor Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 I had a ' Super Sabre ' given to me , when I worked for a ' scrap metal company ' . Bit of a joke on me, the boss knowing I couldn't do anything with it . Fully fuelled And ARMED . It could have been flown away , that day. Those " canons " I spent day's pulling them apart . spacesailor 1
kasper Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 And I had a lead on a Canberra bomber many decades ago ... alas as a teenager my parents were not understanding and my backyard not big enough. 2
