Blueadventures Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Recall a method shown in Kitplanes within last two years.
Marty_d Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 I'd be interested in that too, haven't made my boots yet.
Rodr Posted July 25, 2023 Author Posted July 25, 2023 This fella drew a great diagram of how to cut and shape light al from a vertical connection on the firewall to a round to connect the rubber boots I used Holden ones off the front end! but I lost his drawings !
facthunter Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Something from a brake master cylinder may work. I need an image of the part needed to be covered. Nev
IBob Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Attached. Join the ends and it makes an oval that sits at an angle off the firewall. Marty, you may need to adjust a tad as the Sav S has a reduced firewall angle. Boot Bracket.pdf

Can look up Fire wall boot making on Kitplanes; they show a way to make up a silicone impregnated fibreglass mat boot and alloy bracket for fire walls. May suit your build. 1

facthunter Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Could you make this a fireproof thing? Surely something to consider? Nev
