Anyone know what happened to one of the two KOLIBRI AK4 imported into Aus around 1997?  One was damaged before being registered (the one in the picture) but the other was registered on 7/7/1997 as 24-4530 and deregisteted on 7/1/2011.  Does anyone know why it was deregisteted?

Yes.  The picture is of the one for sale.  I am trying to find what happened to the other one.  The one in the picture was damaged.  The other one flew until 2011, why did it stop flying?

Hello, Geoff-H,

Did you ever find out what happened to the other AK4-Kolibri is Australia?

I'm now in possession of the one in your photo & it's currently undergoing a rebuild to flying condition. The hail damaged wings where repaired & recovered in Sydney. A new engine has been ordered & I'm currently waiting for it to arrive. The cockpit canopy need outright replacement & it needs lots of bolts replaced & a solid going over. Parts are already on their way & Graeme (the seller) provided me with a fair few things to help with the rebuild. It's now in Brisane,

   Regards Jeremy W.

No it seems to have just vanished.  Good luck with the restoration.   You should have fun flying her.

Hi Geoff,

Could be sitting in a shed somewhere collecting dust, shame. It's feeling like a nice plane to fly & enjoy. I will put up a few photos here & there as the restoration continues.
