farri Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Perhaps (here we go, being sexist again) flying is just more of a 'blokey' thing? A bit like (say) riding a Harley. One of my instructors in the early 80s was a woman (still is I guess). Perhaps this is sexist also but a fact of life,I`ll get ready before I say it, , "Some girls are girly and some girls are blokey and some blokes are blokey and some blokes are girly". Flying is easy,it doesn`t matter wheather you wear pants or a skirt,(Unless you`re flying a Drifter),it`s what`s in between the ears that`s important. Frank, Ps,Hey,anyone want to help me make a Quilt and yes I do shoping and the dishes also?
damono Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Ok, so I just added my vote and wow ! that graph is much, much more dramatic than I had expected, I was expecting perhaps a 70% [male participation pilot+instructor] result... but almost 90% is surprising.
fly_tornado Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 looking @ my club @ clifton its more like 98% male.
