I wonder what stock they have?  No .o4o 2024 T3 nor 1.5 x 1.5 inch 3/16 6061 T6 angle.

One odd thing to note is that while prices are listed in AUD$, with GST as to be expected, online payments,  at least, are processed as international transactions with the associated additional bank fees

The employee I spoke to at Oshkosh mentioned a couple of shipping containers sent to kick things off and mentioned they were aware of service issues in past from the Qld rep as I mentioned briefly my experiences of purchases, delayed despatch and inquiries over the past 10 years and until as recent as 6 months ago and he indicated many similar. knowledge.  Expect the new agent will do well and grow there stocks with peoples support.

I looked for a 1/4" bolt that I selected at random.  No stock. Rivet random selections were both in stock.  Shipping appeared normal for Australia.

The sheet 2024 and angle 6061 shipping costs worried me a little, no estimate of cost just billing on shipping,  an open cheque more or less.

Speculation - would you not be better purchasing aluminium products, like this,  from a aluminium retailer, rather than an aircraft parts supplier?😈

Sure it wasn't their dodgy search?

I looked for "Avdel Avex" + Enter and got Cherry rivets and a rivnut airgun.  However just "Avdel Avex" without pushing Enter shows a selection of the right rivets.

Google search is vastly better than the search engines on many websites. Just do a Google search for the item, insert a colon after the search term, and then add the company name.

Sure.  I am having trouble finding Australian suppliers.  But I will buy from Aus where ever possible.  Aircraft Spruce seemed like a godsend,  not so sure now.

I recently purchased some fully documented 6061T6 angle and sheet from CALM ALUMINIUM, Sydney area. Not cheap but stock at hand and promptly dispatched

Yes I expect to buy 6061T6 angle from them.  Unfortunately they do not stock any 2025T3

I did think of substituting 6061T6 to 2024T3, but after comparing their respective properties I decided against doing it.  6061T6 is far inferior

Perth is the 3rd windiest city in the world, according to the researchers.

Yep, Melb = 518mm annual rainfall, Perth - 731mm annual rainfall. The running joke is that Summer in Melbourne was on a Wednesday last year.
