Having ailerons on all mainplanes would be an advantage as well as Brakes When brakes are fitted to the DH82 you have to move the wheels further forward which makes them LESS nice directionally. Canadian built ones had them as well as an enclosed sliding  cockpit. and a tailwheel. . Nev

I think it was fairly common for the B models to be built with a Gypsy

I think he removed a Renault and fitted the gypsy

 Aah  interesting that choice between the tendency to ground loop with a more forward positioned  maingear and the likelihood of nosing over when placed further back, never knew about this mod on tiger moths.
