skippydiesel Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Sydney Basin flying has been MAGIC the last few days. Cloud base 4000" yesterday, odd very little bump (more like a "waft" ) but today well over the 7500" step and the air smooooooth as silk. Great to be alive & a pilot, what more could a lad ask for ???? 1
mkennard Posted August 5 Posted August 5 A group of us went to Cessnock yesterday and it was magic. I thought the August westerlies had come early but a reprieve for this week.
BrendAn Posted August 5 Posted August 5 come on you 2. where are the photos for the last flight thread.
skippydiesel Posted August 5 Author Posted August 5 If I had a camera, I had a beauty late last week. I was in the vicinity of Badgerys Creek/Nancy Bird Walton Airport - the western end landing lights were being tested SPECTACULAR!!!! Couldn't help but be lured in and desende to 1000ft for a polite strip run - memorable moment. 1 1
mkennard Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Lots of traffic. Only photo are 5 parked planes and a lovely breakfast. 1
mkennard Posted August 6 Posted August 6 That is so much fun, I've done it a few times, must be plenty of people practicing landings and go arounds. Haven't seen the tower yet. Wonder if the workers get sick of us. 1
