Currently planning a flying trip next year from Adelaide to Alice Springs and looking at suggestions for interesting places to visit on the way.

Current plan is Adelaide, ceduna, Coober Pedy, Ayer’s rock, Alice, Birdsville, Wilpena.

obviously go over lake eyre as we go.

any suggestion for interesting strips or accomodation along the way?

looking to take between 8 and 10 days.

Thanks

Nick

Overflying Maree Man is on my bucket list.

We saw it in 2019, was fairly fresh then. If it hasn't been redone it might be hard to see.

Diamantina river between Birdsville and Lake Eyre was spectacular that year, amazing contrast with the red stony desert.

Arkaroola is worth considering - spectacular landscapes, but do it in winter or early morning. In summer the turbulence can be scary.

The resort will pick you up from the airstrip if staying overnight.

IF you do an outlanding you'll have a long way to walk unless you land near a road. There's a lot of emptiness out there.  Nev
