Hi all,

Just to let everyone know, the HS 700E is fully supported by Quicksilver Aircraft Northeast LLC, the World-Wide distributor of the HKS 700E engines and accessories.  We offer sales, service/support and parts supply for the engines.  Mr. Hiroshi Kato, the engine's designer, is the technical liaison to Quicksilver N.E.

Quicksilver N.E. has been an HKS dealer since 2004, and is a factory trained service provider.

There is considerable misinformation on the internet regarding the engine.  please spread the new - we are here to help with any HKS700E needs.

good to hear this information. I had heard production stopped in Japan a long time ago and the engine was no longer being manufactured. Hopefully it continues for some time to come because it is an ideal option now that Rotax have killed off the 2 strokes

Engine production ended due to slow sales.  We still have some new engines and parts are being produced.  To make another production run - 1000-1500 engines - just wasn’t viable.  But the current parts inventory is enough to support them for decades to come, particularly due to its reliability.

I'm pretty sure the HKS engine I flew was a V twin.  Comment?   Nev

Nope.   Never a V twin

What could it be then? It was Japan made (well) and geared and touted as the engine to replace the Rotax 2 stroke. I've got about 35 hours behind it. Kiev Prop fitted to it. Nev

Who will buy a discontinued engine .

Leyland ,when Finnished were made to supply lots of spare- parts ,

Then an American bought all those engines & spares . ( used in speed-boat racing )

Nothing for the public to get.
