Jabaru 230 advice

As my previous post I'm considering a Jabiru 230.

Thoughts please. The aim is to own for 2 to 3 years and travel in it. Eg about 2 to 300 hrs, then sell it. 

1. Buy new.

2. Build my own at 760kg with VH and save 20 to 30k ( my preferred option ).

3. buy used. 

Concerns are

1 . reliability, eg I like new 

2. Resale factory vs home built. 

3. Home build gets me 760kg which I like.

Advice would be much appreciated.
