Tail Wheel questions

Tail wheel upgrade on a kit fox. Any local Australian suppliers. That seem ridiculous expensive for what they are in the US.

What would you consider a fair price in AUD, and what features would you require?

I imported an 8” matco pneumatic tail wheel from the US and considered it worthwhile. It made a big difference to the comfort compared to the solid wheel that was originally fitted. Going back about 8/10 years so I can’t add much more. 
The weight difference was minimal.

To make an ' aluminium ' wheel on a lathe shouldn't cost a lot of money .

Mr Sainty made aluminium wheels for a Royal coach , the passengers said 

" the best ride ever by any coach " .

( Sainty speed works Sydney ( if still going )).

As a "None-Pilot" you may have to factor in the cost of a Tailwheel Endorsement (training)

Yeah, can also just get a 6" x 2" china pneumatic machined AL ready made you beaut wheel and tube tyre for $16 off ebay. Bought two three years ago; still on the first one and the new spare sits in the stow locker. Weighs about 300g. Never had an issue with it.
