Yes, but I do not have much to compare it with.

 

The iPad version is way ahead of the Andriod version.

 

Ideal device would be a Ipad mini 6 cellular (for the GPS) with 64GB memory.

You do not need a sim to run it. I hotspot to my phone for notams and weather.

 

It is free to download but they charge a subscription for the maps.

I believe you can download the maps for 30 days demo without charge.
