Could be very momentary.  I'd rather CONCENTATE on where the Plane is heading, with a T/W. . Height judgement is hard on CALM water. with a float plane. ALL pilots look outside when landing. A radio altimeter is sometimes used to  CONFIRM not just rely on in my opinion... Nev

To me 'Good Airmanship" is not only knowing & acting on the rules, it's also about courtesy.

Courtesy is;

Not just about keeping your aircraft safe by communicating appropriately, it's about the other aircraft as well.

Recognising the dynamic nature of flying and being flexible (about the rules) when appropriate.

Understanding that not all pilots are "top guns" - the other pilot may be under a lot of stress (low time/student/etc) and need some space/encouraging words.

Speaking up when you think that an unsafe situaton may be in play.

i can figure that out on my own. i posted on the forum to discuss with the members.   i know you have a wealth of knowledge but you prefer to make comments that are not helpful.  . when i asked the question why not say what you did when you used to fly.

I reckon CASA would love that, at least their enforcement and legal sections👮‍♀️!!!!..... Not sure that Turbo would silly enough to do that in a public forum 🤣 Nor me!!! for that matter

Sorry!!! back to seriousness now!
