Ive never at any time even hinted that might be the case. It would be outrageous. Nev

Yeah keep it UP. I know what message I was trying to get out and it's NOT RACIST in any waY. Quite the Opposite actually. IF I want to say something I say it CLEARLY and will elaborate  IF asked. What I did was ask a question, about HOW something looked. What you read into it is something bilong you Masta. Now I'm being accused of a mortal sin. WAKE up to yourselves'..If this sort of $#!t keeps happening this site is finished. it's some kind of Star chamber where I get accused of meaning something I say I definitely  did NOT and by saying BS YOU are calling me a LIAR. BTW If this was happening to  anyone I'd be equally VOCAL about it.  Nev.

Butt out Red ,You are supposed to be a moderator and not pile on people

Don't pull that modertator shit. You can see others agree with me. I've got strong feelings about certain people, but I keep them to myself.

Great if that  were true  You get personal. That's not on in your position. Open your eyes mate. I know because i've been on the receiving end. Nev

Must be time to lock the thread, it's way past the informative aim of the original poster, and into personal attacks.

It's also got nothing to do with Recreational Aviation at a time when RA is under threat.

I already requested the defending posts be removed yesterday. But they are still there.

The matter has been referred to Ian.

Mahindra saved that Company. A senior  person there who had been there a long time  used to visit me often and discuss things aeroplane. He said the Problems were not with the new company but with the same people who were there before still continuing to manage it. It IS a good news story and about Australian Made Aircraft and there's no reason whatever to NOT run it on this forum. This Forum has become not as friendly as it should be and a hard place for serious discussion. NO  ONE wants it to operate properly MORE than I do. I have been here since it's inception and will defend my reputation when needed. No one should open up Not knowing what   sort of nasty response will greet them out of thin air.  NO One want's an argument BUT everyone challenged must be able to counter the ACCUSATIONS. early intervention will help prevent that necessity, No one shou/d be able to pick on things like your Forum name and  suggest you post too often." Gotcha" actions are not conducive to  good conduct. IF i didn't ruffle few feathers here I wouldn't be doing my job which try to  get the facts  straight and emphasise safe flying.  Nev

I'm a bit concerned with "dumping " a problem in Ian's lap as I'm sure he has other things to deal with..  HE has the right to do what he wishes. Nev

I spend a lot of time on phone discussions with people more knowledgeable than me. I have quite a few Pilot friends out there that I can spend a couple of hours talking to.  Those people know exactly where I come from, IF there is controversy……I am usually in the middle of it. But the difference is, here you can be attacked by Moray Eels but phone discussion, is more considerate and negotiable.
I used to be on Mailing Lists 25 years ago, better than the Forums or SwampBook in todays World.

How about that, for thread drift 😁

People need to show a bit more respect and never MOCK other's. . You don't really know what people are like on line. We've lost a few good people because of that . which is a pity. You need all the knowledge you can get. on a forum like this  Has the Forum changed a lot since earlier times.? I would say YES. Nev

I spend .much. ore time on a homebuilt aircraft site.  It is Americsn and far more technical.   This site is find interesting when topics are technical.

Many years ago I was working on Yalourn Power Station and travelled once with the original guys designing and building the aircraft I was intriguing intrigued by their undercarriage testing device. The machine would lift the undercarriage with a weight attached the same height that the FAA rules require then drop the undercarriage with its weight.  I was facinated as this mschine went through its paces time after time automatically. Great that the company is back.

One of my best Aviation friends is retired now, close to 80 years old, owned flying schools, charter airlines, managed airlines in New Guinea. One instance of note, he operated a charter operation 40 years ago, flying his own Dakota  C47. I know him personally, have seen his pile of Logbooks, a Kangaroo could not jump over.
He phones me every week for a yarn.  This guy is a true Aviator with many thousands of hours, in so many different aircraft

For me, his knowledge is gold…...

2 aircraft I want to fly in, in this life time are  a LOCKHEED Super  Constellation (which will never happen) and a DC 3/C-47.

Buffalo Airlines in the U.S.? have some. Getting a right seat ride would do it for me, before I leave this Earth. 😁

Beech 18 Might be a good compromise or Catalina PBY 5A. (Amphibious.) There should be 3's in Australia.  Nev

There's a DC-3 still flying to Antarctica. Wouldn't be the same though - converted to turboprops.

Fairly sure you could still get a DC 3 endorsement. It can be on a PPL  You don't have to complete it to do some flying..  Nev
